Terms of Service
Last updated 26 July 2026
The agreement between you and Liquid Blue Works for using usechit. Plain English wherever plain English will do.
Who we are
usechit is made and run by Liquid Blue Works(“we”, “us”). The app lives at usechit.vercel.app. Our registered business address is 2310 Vance Avenue, Suite 202, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
“You” means the person or business using the app. By using usechit you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the app.
What the app does
usechit turns work into an invoice and turns paperwork into a filed record. It runs in your browser, works offline, and does not require an account to start.
It is a bookkeeping and invoicing tool, not an accountant. We do not give tax, accounting or legal advice, and nothing the app calculates is a substitute for professional advice or for checking your own numbers.
Accounts
You can use usechit signed out. Signing in is optional and is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. If you do sign in, keep your sign-in details to yourself — anyone who can get into your email can usually get into your account.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not use the app on behalf of someone who has told you not to.
Your records stay yours
You own everything you put into usechit — your invoices, clients, receipts, photos and business details. We claim no rights over any of it. We only handle it to the extent we need to in order to run the features you are using, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You can export all of your records to CSV at any time from Settings, on the free plan as well as the paid ones. We would rather you were able to leave than felt stuck.
Fair use of the app
Please do not:
- use usechit to invoice for anything illegal, or to defraud anyone;
- upload someone else's documents that you have no right to hold;
- try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the app or the services behind it;
- resell the app or pass off its output as your own product.
If you do any of these we may suspend or end your access. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.
Paid plans and billing
usechit is free to use. Two paid upgrades are available, and both are handled by Stripe:
- Plus Lifetime — a one-time purchase. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
- Plus Cloud — a recurring subscription that keeps renewing at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel it. It includes everything in Plus Lifetime.
The price you pay is the one shown on the Plan screen when you buy. We read those prices from Stripe rather than writing them into the app, so what you see on the button is what Stripe charges.
Payment is taken by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page — they never pass through usechitand we never see or store them. Receipts, payment method changes and cancellation are all handled in Stripe's billing portal, which you can open from the Plan screen once you are signed in.
Cancellations and refunds are set out in full in Refunds & Cancellations.
Availability, and what happens when things break
The parts of usechitthat run on your device keep working offline. The parts that need the internet — signing in, cloud sync, buying a plan, reminder emails — depend on services we do not control, and we cannot promise they are always up. We provide the app “as is”, without a guaranteed level of uptime.
Keep your own backups.Because the app is local-first, your records live in your browser's storage. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or a browser reclaiming space can all remove them, and if you are not signed in with cloud sync there is no copy anywhere else. The CSV export in Settings exists for exactly this reason.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Beyond that, and as far as the law allows: we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data or other indirect losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you have paid us for usechit in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top of this page always shows when it last changed. If a change materially reduces what you get for something you have already paid for, we will tell the people it affects rather than relying on this page alone.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using usechitat any time — sign out, cancel any subscription in Stripe's billing portal, export your records, and clear the app's data from your browser. We may end this agreement if you break these terms, or if we discontinue the app, in which case we will give notice where we reasonably can.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Tennessee, USA, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts there. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
